The Jaglot–Skardu Road (JSR) may remain closed for another two days after the temporary bridge near Sasi Haramosh was completely washed away due to heavy flooding and strong water flow.
According to the Gilgit-Baltistan Police, the temporary bridge that was recently built to restore traffic has been destroyed again. Reconstruction work is expected to take approximately two more days, depending on weather conditions and the water level.
Travelers heading from Gilgit to Skardu or Skardu to Gilgit are strongly advised to avoid unnecessary travel until the bridge is rebuilt and the road is officially reopened.
