About
Yasin Valley lies north of Gupis, reached by crossing the Ghizer River and continuing along the Yasin River. It is a long valley of villages, fields, and orchards, with high mountains and glaciers at its upper end. Historically, Yasin has been an important and strategic valley in the region. It still keeps a rich local culture, and its villages are known for friendly and generous hospitality. The area includes fort sites, autumn orchards, and routes that lead to high passes such as Darkot, Thoi, and Ghamubar. For trekkers, Yasin is a gateway to alpine meadows, glaciers, and lakes, including the area around Darkot Valley. For others, it is a calm place to enjoy mountain scenery away from busy tourist routes.
