Kacheli Lake

Kacheli Lake is a high alpine lake in the Miacher Valley, reached from Minapin by a rewarding trek past Rakaposhi and Diran base camps. It lies at roughly 4,000 metres and is one of Nagar's quietest adventure destinations.

About

Kacheli Lake lies in the Kacheli Meadows of the Miacher Valley, across the Minapin Glacier from the main Rakaposhi trail. Its surface is at roughly 4,000 metres above sea level, though published figures vary, and it is surrounded by high rocky slopes and snow peaks. The most common route goes from Minapin through Hapakun to Rakaposhi Base Camp, then across the glacier to Diran Base Camp, followed by an uphill walk of around two hours to the lake. It is also reached from the Miacher side. The lake is quiet and rarely visited, so the trek rewards walkers with wide views, wild scenery, and a sense of being far from the main tourist trail.
