Pissan Natural Cricket Stadium

Pissan Natural Cricket Stadium is a cricket ground at around 8,500 feet beneath Rakaposhi and Diran, widely called the world's highest natural cricket stadium. A viral photo made it one of Nagar's most photographed places.

About

Hidden in the Pissan Valley, this natural ground lies at an elevation of roughly 8,400 to 8,500 feet, tucked under the shoulders of Rakaposhi and Diran. It became famous in 2021 after a photograph of the ground spread across social media, and it was later opened officially by the Gilgit-Baltistan government. The setting is extraordinary: a green pitch with snow-covered peaks and a glacier above, and a cool summer climate that is a relief when the rest of the country is hot. Local people know the ground by the name Beekichang Gotum. The stadium has hosted tournaments between teams from Nagar, Hunza, and Diamer. Even without a match, it is a beautiful place for a walk, a picnic, and some of the best mountain photography in Nagar.
