It offers some of the most scenic high-altitude views in the region but is only usable from roughly May/June to October, closing completely with the first heavy snowfall. Babusar Top itself can be affected by fog, snow, or landslides even within the open season, so this route requires more careful planning than the main KKH. It's a popular choice for travelers wanting to combine a Kaghan Valley visit with their journey into Gilgit-Baltistan
