Ganche access road

Khaplu Hushe road update — Skardu to Ganche district status. This route heads east from Skardu into Ganche district, passing through Khaplu (home to the restored Khaplu Palace) and continuing to Hushe Valley, a starting point for treks toward Masherbrum and K2 base camp routes. The drive from Skardu to Khaplu takes roughly 2-3 hours, with a further 1-2 hours to reach Hushe. Road conditions are generally manageable in summer but can be affected by landslides or snow at higher points earlier and later in the season. This route sees far less traffic than the main Skardu-based roads, so services and fuel stops are limited.
